Elizabeth Forspan, Esq. will discuss the intricacies of special needs planning for family members with disabilities and how such planning must consider the various potential tax traps. She will discuss first party versus second party Supplemental/Special Needs Trusts as well as planning for Long-Term Care and Medicaid.
About the Speaker
Elizabeth Forspan, Esq. is a Partner with Forspan Klear LLP, a New York-based Trusts and Estates and Elder Care Law Firm. She assists clients with wills, trusts, advance directives, estate tax planning, Medicaid and long-term care planning, adult guardianships and special needs planning. Elizabeth speaks throughout the United States to various professional organizations and has been nominated as a Super Lawyer Rising Star every year from 2016 through 2024. She is the author of award-winning articles in professional publications and has been quoted in the New York Times. Elizabeth has appeared on MarketWatch and has written for the New York Law Journal. She is dedicated to her clients and the legal community and she serves on the boards of non-profits.
